Studio Science: Lucy at 4DSOUND

While Stroboscopic Artefacts’ Lucy is most well-known for his techno tracks, it’s immediately obvious that an experimental mind lies behind their construction. Earlier this year, Lucy indulged this side of his artistic personality when he was invited to perform at Amsterdam’s 4DSOUND. The unique space is an immersive sonic environment which places speakers throughout a room, inviting listeners to walk around during performances to get a full 360° experience.

Lucy’s performance focused around sounds created by yoga teacher Amanda Morelli as she performed traditional Eastern breathing techniques. We went to Amsterdam as Lucy, Amanda and the 4DSOUND crew prepared for this special event.
