The Best of the 2013 Red Bull Music Academy in New York
From April 28th to May 31st we did our best to bring something special to a city that we love. Below we present just a sampling of the things that we created, documented or participated in while we were here. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

We welcomed Philip Glass, one of America’s greatest living composers, to talk about his collaborations with Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, David Bowie and the underlying philosophy behind his work.

RBMA RADIO
The team at RBMA Radio was busy capturing recordings from events, doing a live show each weekday from our NYC HQ and doing interviews for future Headphones Highlights and Fireside Chats throughout the Academy.
Perhaps the most eagerly awaited event of the entire Academy was Giorgio Moroder’s debut live/DJ set in America.
Vatican Shadow was among the clutch of experimental giants that performed at our Drone Activity In Progress event.
DFA Records co-founder James Murphy was the dance conductor everyone was waiting for on his label’s 12th anniversary celebration.
Grammy award-winning production team J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League were among the Drum Majors stepping from behind the scenes into the spotlight at Knitting Factory.
