Gallery: A Conversation with Spike Lee

The director talked about iconic musical moments in his films at New York’s SVA Theatre

Not only is Spike Lee a firm fixture in the movie-making world for now more than 30 years, but he’s also provided some of the most memorable musical moments on film. As part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival New York 2016, Spike sat down with Nelson George at SVA Theatre to discuss his work with Prince, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, as well as talking the audience through iconic scenes from Do The Right Thing, Malcolm X, Inside Man, 25th Hour and more. Our photographer Drew Gurian was there to capture the event as it unfolded on Manhattans’s West Side.
