Studio Science: Bob Power On Studio Mixing

No one can question Bob Power’s pedigree as a composer, producer, and engineer, whose fingerprints are all over some of the most iconic R&B, soul and hip hop classics of the past 30 years. A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, D’Angelo, The Roots and Erykah Badu are among just a few of the names he’s worked with. As part of the inaugural edition of Red Bull Music Academy’s Studio Science, we invited the celebrated mixer to work on one of the participant’s tracks. Along the way, he imparted just a few of the many lessons he has learned in his incredible career.
