Gallery: Nothing Changes
New York isn’t as grimy as it once was, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still musicians and parties that explore the ragged edges of the city. The Nothing Changes party has been hosting some of the weirdest and wildest since 2013, so we asked them to take advantage of New York City’s best sounding club as part of Red Bull Music Academy Festival New York 2015. With a lineup of experimental luminaries like Japanese noise pioneer Merzbow, Genesis P-Orridge & Aaron Dilloway of Wolf Eyes (performing Psychic TV’s Electric Newspapers for the first time), Ron Morelli, Pharmakon, Prurient (presenting his seminal album Pleasure Ground for the first time), Marshstepper, and Uniform, it was one of the loudest nights we’ve ever experienced.
