Gallery: Sónar Festival 2015

Red Bull Music Academy was proud to take our partnership with Barcelona’s Sónar Festival into its 11th consecutive year in 2015, presenting an all-star cast of Academy alumni and affiliates at the SonarDôme stage from June 18th-20th.

This year, the Academy presented a lineup of artists hailing from all over the world, with recent participants of the 16th edition of the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo at its core. We were joined over the course of three sun-soaked days at Plaça d’ Espanya by the likes of experimental supergroup Nazoranai (Keiji Haino, Stephen O'Malley and Oren Ambarchi), hip hop icon Just Blaze and brotherly grime duo Skepta and JME. Grime renovator Mumdance performed alongside rising Lewisham MC Novelist and his posse The Square, then there was Eglo boss Floating Points, pop outfit Teengirl Fantasy, theatrical NYC rap artist Zebra Katz, analog dance sorceress Xosar, and a wide range of other 2014 Academy alumni.
